The month of November started out with the Buddy Walk. I talked about this last year. This year was the 6th annual Buddy Walk, it takes place at Hawrelak Park. $150,000 was raised for programs and supports for people with down syndrome. We walk for my niece taylor, who was born 3 years ago, and has Down Syndrome. She is truly an amazing little lady and I feel blessed to have her in our lives. The walk is now something that me and my family look forward to every November, and each year Team Tay Tay is growing. This year, to make out group stand out, we all wore green tutus, pink and green boas and moustaches!

Here is a picture of Taylor and her parents (my sister and brother in law) Some of the most amazing and loving parents I know.

They arent the only amazing people in Tay Tays life….she has so much love from family and friends who will always be there to support her.

I have a new collection out. The Abby Rose Collection. Named after my daughters. I started this line to bring out everyday wear skirts. Something still girly but that can be worn at any time, not just dress up time. Everything is machine washable, totally wearable and super affordable. In this collection I have toddler belts, A-line skirts, Tube skirts…these skirts can be made with or without tulle underneath). I will also be adding some of my previous items to this collection, the ties and the onsies. I have a couple of projects on the go that will be added to the Abby Rose collection after Christmas. For more information on my new line there will soon be a new heading “Abby Rose”.

I had two trade shows this month. I must say, this was my first year to do a trade show close to Christams and it was amazing, so much better than the spring shows. The first was so much fun. It was held at Festival Place in Sherwood Park , called the Shopping Event and Fashion Show. I had seven fabulous children join me on stage for the fashion show, and their awesome parents came to help out as well! The second was the Santas Little Helpers Trade Fair. It was held at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Edmotnon. It was a great event, best bigger trade show I have been to. Kinsley Events (http://www.facebook.com/KingsleyEvents) organizes it and does a wonderful job. I got to sit beside a talented friend for the whole day too! She makes probably the best cake pops in town! Hers are truly delicious. I will post a link once I get one! This year I decided not to have a table but have displays and stand instead. I admit it looked a lot better than having my products spread on a table, but it is a lot of work to make 10 trips in and out to set up!

November has also been quite the social month. A lot of birthday parties and get togethers, play dates and meetings I sometimes have the urge to complain about being so busy, but I really appreciate being busy, it is a great thing, especially when it involves surrounding yourself with wonderful, talented, positive people.

New Collection

In 7-10 days I am unveiling a new collection from B Fabulous Tutus!

I have been working my fingers off getting everything ready for the trade shows coming up next week.

Thursday November 15 is the Holiday Shopping Event and Fashion Show. Festival Place, Sherwood Park from 6-9:30pm. There will be a fashion show starting at 6:30. I am the first business to go up…so if you are coming make sure to be there at 6:30 SHARP!

The second trade show I am doing next week is on Sunday November 18th. the Santa`s Little Helper Shopping Extravaganza at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Edmonton. It runs from 10am-4pm that day. The first 100 people (over 18 years) to enter the show will receive a swag bad. Inside there will be goodies from certain vendors at the show. I have included a $5 off coupon…be one of the first $100 people to get this great deal!

Something for Myself!

I have busy with numerous orders, getting used to kindergarten for my little lady, commitments with friends and family and doing shows for my other business as a Jewellery Advisor for Lia Sophia.

When I get to my sewing room I grab the next ticket up to be made. I work on it until its finished, then I get to work on doing things around the house that I have been neglecting;) I decided today that I was going to leave the housework, computer work, and orders for the day and do something creative for myself. I made myself my first tutu skirt. (I have made myself one before, but not one that I would wear out and be serious about it)

I think it will be perfect to wear to my next trade show. (With a different shirt, of course)

Price changes

I have been debating on changes my prices for a long time now. It is a hard decision to make, as I don’t want to upset any of my past customers or future ones. I have taken more notice at the time I am spending on certain items. I hope most of you will feel that my price changes will be very fair.

Most things will stay the same, some will be cheaper, some more expensive. Nothing will be raised extremely high. Just enough to compensate my time and materials used. I make every thing myself, nothing is ordered here in mass quantities. I don’t buy already made products and sell them. I started this business because I have a love for sewing that keeps on growing.

The price changes will take effect October 1st, 2012.

I hope this change wont inconvenience any of my customers. There have been so many of you over the past two years who have been amazing supporters of what I do. I am gaining new supporters along the way. I appreciate all of my customers. If it wasn’t for all of you I would not be able to follow this dream.

Tie Around Tutus!

I have added a new tutu to my collection. It is a tie around tutu.

The waist band is not elastic, it is on a ribbon that ties around the waist.

There is over double the amount of tulle, making them the fullest and most fun tutu I have.

Tie it on with beautiful 3 inch wide satin ribbon.
